I wrote fifteen pages today. I mean, I was just flying, it was flowing, I was in this wonderful writing frenzy, and when I stopped, I read it over.

It was crap. Complete, and total crap.

Fifteen pages, 7950 words worth of utter, useless crap.

*head-desk*

It's very frustrating. I know part of it is that I'm not feeling all that great, but you know, these characters have been living in my head for well over a year now, and I know them so well that it's easy to get side-tracked onto tangents that really don't matter to the main story. I mean, they might make great short stories to sort of fill in gaps, but... right now, it's just so much... clutter.

Fifteen pages. *weeps* I had to delete fifteen pages, and start all over again.

Why'm I doin' this again??

Well, the NaNoWriMo site is down at the moment, which is GRRRR for Auntie. I was a busy bee, and managed 2,512 words!! Chapter One, yeah, baby, yeah!!

Well, actually, more like Chapter 1a. But STILL! Woot for me!! *laughs* I'll post it later. For now, I just want to bask in the glow of accomplishment, in spite of a soccer game, a funeral, and having two of my kids friends sleeping over.

*does a little dance*

Yay for me!

Hello, everyone!

This is my writing journal for NaNoWriMo. If you want to check the progress of the novel I'm writing, then this is the place to be. Some of you may recognize it as the piece I was working on for [info]let_us_suffer. I felt that NaNoWriMo was the perfect excuse to get me to stop waffling about with it, and actually write the damn thing. So, I will post chapters and sections as I finish, in the hope that you tell me it doesn't suck, it's readable, and maybe I'm going somewhere with it.

Love,

Auntie
